Artist’s Statement
What makes my work different is mainly the diversity of subject matter.
Other than my abstracts, my works are studies of objects, people, animals and landscapes.
I would like viewers to see the special little touches, perhaps added pearlescent finish on a painting and the detail and the use of color. I love to evoke a feeling of awe and interest by painting beautiful scenes and sentimental images.
When I start painting a canvas I often do a rough pencil sketch and then paint my idea quickly. I add more and more detail, revising until I feel the work reflects my original vision.
